Alfred’s Commentary on the Human Condition

We are in a race with a completely impersonal universe that gave rise to but could care less about our survival (though within that statement it could be said that the universe also gave us the survival instinct) .  We can act as children and accept our fate, or act with our intellects to resist that same fate.  If we accept that active premise then it follows that any activity or mindset that impedes our progress should be discouraged.  Unfortunately, it appears that large swaths of humanity have embraced simpleminded destruction in the form of anti-human religions and organizations.  They are not contributing at all to the desperate race we are in to remain viable in our little corner of the universe.  I would postulate that Science and Technology coupled with Logic and Philosophy, cold hard reality coupled with exploration and Joie de vivre are the only ways forward that removes arrogance from the dogma of “truth”.
